Entry into
Game
Give your completed playslip
with the appropriate monies to the National
Lottery Lotto Agent and in return you will
receive your ticket for the draw(s). The numbers
will be printed on your ticket reading across on
one line for each panel played. You are now in
the game! If you have played Lotto Plus on your
ticket (50c extra per panel), your numbers will
be entered into the two Lotto Plus draws and
“LOTTO
PLUS YES”
will be printed under the
logo.
Before leaving the National
Lottery Lotto Agent’s premises check the numbers
on your ticket to ensure they are the ones you
have chosen. Your ticket is the only valid
receipt for claiming a prize and will show the
date(s) of the draw(s) for which your ticket is
valid. You can play the same set of numbers
every draw if you wish by simply using the same
playslip which the Agent will return to you each
time you play. A game ticket
is valid for one Lotto draw (and the two Lotto
Plus draws for that date where applicable)
except in the case of Advance Play, whether or
not the Jackpot for that particular draw is won
or carried over. Tickets bought up to
approximately 10 minutes before the draw time
will be included in that draw.
Lotto Advance Play
Advance Play is a facility
which allows you to play up to 8 draws in
advance. Simply tick the appropriate Advance
Play box for 2, 4, or 8 draws. Your Advance Play
ticket will clearly show the number of draws you
are in and it will also show the inclusive set
of dates that apply to your ticket. The number
of draws will always include the next Lotto draw
(and Lotto Plus draws where applicable). If you
win any prize in any one draw you can claim it
in the usual way. On doing so you will be
issued with an exchange
ticket to cover the remaining draws you have
already paid for. Advance Play is an easy way to
play Lotto and Lotto Plus and it ensures your
lucky numbers are in the game if you are away or
cannot play in any particular draw or draws.
Guaranteed Minimum Jackpots
The minimum jackpot you can
win or share is guaranteed at €2 million for
every draw. If the Jackpot is not won the first
time it will roll over to the next Lotto draw.
From there the Jackpot can grow by hundreds of
thousands of euro from draw to draw and will
keep on growing until it is won.
Where Can I Play Lotto?
Provided you are 18 years of
age or over you can play Lotto anywhere you see
the National Lottery sign. Lotto can be played
any day from 7.00am to 10.00pm. Just pick up a
Lotto playslip from any National Lottery Lotto
Agent or play using the Quick Pick method and
you’re ready to join in the fun.
How to Play Lotto
A. Choose your Own Numbers
Pick up a playslip from any
National Lottery Lotto Agent. Each playslip
contains eight panels. The minimum play is 2
panels per draw which may be played for €3.
Additional panels may be played for €1.50 each.
For each panel that you play you choose six
numbers from 1 to 45, the choice is entirely up
to you (perhaps your lucky numbers, house
number, special dates or any other numbers that
appeal to you). Mark your chosen numbers clearly
with vertical lines using a blue or black
ballpoint pen or a pencil. Sorry, but markers or
red pens won’t do.
B. Choose Quick Pick
Simply ask your National
Lottery Lotto Agent for the number of Quick
Picks you wish to play (minimum 2 panels) and
the Lottery terminal will print out your ticket
with the randomly selected numbers on it.
Alternatively, you may simply tick the Quick
Pick box in the panel(s) you wish to play and
the terminal will randomly select your numbers
for you.
If you make an error in
marking your playslip, mark the VOID box at the
bottom of that panel then make your selection on
another panel. DO NOT ERASE.
What is Lotto 6 of 45?
In Lotto 6 of 45 you pick six
numbers… any numbers from numbers 1 to 45
inclusive. On each draw date there will be a
Lotto draw consisting of a random drawing of 6
main numbers from 1 to 45. The seventh number
drawn is the Bonus Number.
If, on any one line, you
match the first six numbers drawn you win or
share the Jackpot.
If, on any one line, you
match any five numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order and if you also match
the Bonus Number you win a Match 5+ Bonus Number
prize of €25,000.
If, on any one line, you
match any five numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order you win a Match 5
prize.
If, on any one line, you
match any four numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order and if you also match
the Bonus Number you win a Match 4+ Bonus Number
prize.
If, on any one line, you
match any four numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order you win a Match 4
prize.
If, on any one line, you
match any three numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order and if you also match
the Bonus Number you win a Match 3+ Bonus Number
prize.
If, on any one line, you
match any three numbers from the first six
numbers drawn in any order you win a Match 3
prize of €5.
How Much Can I Win?
There’s no ceiling to the
amount that can be won in Lotto because the
Lotto Jackpot grows bigger and bigger every day.
The bigger the number of
entries the bigger the Jackpot. And if in any
Lotto draw the Jackpot isn’t won, it rolls over
to the following Lotto draw. |
